    Mr. Hanna,
thanks for liking my blog today. I am just getting started in this and don’t have a lot of followers. I do enjoy writing about things that affect the Christian faith. I pastor a small church in Alba, Texas.

Thanks, brother, for stopping by my blog today. Stop by any time when your intellectual pursuits need to be dumbed down a little. Seriously, I hope your degree pursuits finish well. All I can say is that being bi-vocational and a seminary student – not to mention being a blogger and an old man (at least I feel that way) – is wrecking havoc on my nerves and grades. I should have done this when I was 20 years younger!

Hi Anthony! Thanks for stopping by! I resonate with your struggles with balancing ministry, family, and seminary. I’m in the same boat, brother! Where are you going to seminary at?

Thank you for ending your last sentence with a preposition! That makes me feel better. ;-)

I attend Temple Baptist Seminary. If I was younger, smarter, and single I may have gone to Moody, Wheaton, or even Liberty. As it is, I do my classes on line – which is very difficult since most classes have been reduced to 8 weeks (same content, too). One class at a time is all I can handle, as you can imagine.

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog and liking the post. It’s refreshing to see another soul from Asbury Seminary. My husband graduated from there in 2010 with his MDIV and is currently pastoring a church in small town Oklahoma! I did a year towards my Masters in the counseling program, but alas did not finish. I’m looking forward to exploring your blog some more. Blessings, Heather

Greetings from Down Under T E and thanks for liking what I scrawled on my blog today. I can assure you that once one gets caught up in this kind of study you just keep going – there’s always the next enticing tid-bit to unravel. All the best as you complete your M. Hey T.E.,

It’s your blog. The people who will read it are those who connect with what you are saying. Personally, I think a disclaimer would weaken it. It is ok to be challenging, and it is ok to be challenged in return. If you are open for that, I would just write your heart, and allow the rest to be an opportunity for growth in community. That’s just my thoughts, tho, since you asked. ;)

Enjoyed recent post, “The God Who Knows Us.” Liked the notion that heaven and hell are existentially real beginning now and continuing on into eternity. I think those who get bent out of shape on “the hell that is coming for all of you unbelievers” have a mother load of hell that they are living in the present moment. And I’m glad to note your caveat re “hatred” being disallowed in the dialogue regarding your posting. Yeah, just delete it. Hatred is bad karma and there is so much hatred in this spiritual world that you and I are immersed in.

BTW, tried to respond directly to your post. Could not do so. Therefore, I’m responding here.

I’m glad that you liked “Praying God’s Name”. Your willingness to serve and (it sounds like total) consecration to doing God’s work is wonderful. I like your title “Of Dust and Kings”. The ‘Dust’ reminds me of a nugget that is almost finished. About a month ago,the pastor of my Sunday church (I attend a Messianic congregation as my Saturday church) preached about Jesus washing His Apostles’ feet. That was the custom since Abraham. The thought occurred to me that no one washed Jesus’ feet. They were dusty too. The dust of disappointment, scorn, slander, sickened in heart because of deferred hope, and sorrowful–to name a few–were carried to the cross. What a wonderful Lord we have! For you and your wife: Lord, if I become weary in well doing because I don’t see the desired results of my work, remind me that Your name is REWARDER OF MY DEEDS. (2 Sam.22:21)

I’m actually pretty new to this whole media world but its exciting and im stoked to get more testimonies out there. I wanted to just bless you with a word, I just really believe the Lord is going to begin to move upon in you in power, revelation, dreams, and even visions. You have been faithful in the little and I believe the Lord wants to continue to expand your sphere of influence even more. The hunger you have for the word is going to be satisfied in even a greater way as well as the Scriptures open up to you in ways you haven’t seen or heard before! Isaiah 54:2. Hope that blesses you!

Thank you so much for liking my post “Broken Cross, Restored Life”. I feel like I am letting people down, as due to illness I find reading so many brilliant blogs very tiring. I would love to read everyone’s posts that I am having the privilege of being connected to; but know that I will have to let the Lord lead me where He would have me go. God bless you and your ministry.

Best advice I can give is get connected with those blogging in your niche. Identify 10-20 of the top Christian devotional blogs and follow and comment on them regularly. Follow the Christian or Devotional tag on wordpress.com and like or comment on any posts you appreciate. Connect with other bloggers, build relationships, support their writing. It’s the relationships that form the heart of blogging, at least in my experience.

    Hi T. E.,

Thanks for liking my guest blog post on {re}fresh yesterday (http://refreshwellspring.wordpress.com). We just celebrated our first anniversary of publishing. It began as an outlet for fellow writers and bloggers to encourage the body of Christ through written words. Many artists, writers and musicians in our church.

Best wishes as you finish your degree and continue encouraging your fellow bloggers through your inspired words.

Mr Hanna I wanted to add a comment on your latest post regarding How Old Testament Ethics Reveals God’s Grace but I did not see a “Leave A Comment” place on the post. Well as usual I love the topics you delve into and the personal insight I gain. I always look forward to your posts. When I read The Bible I believe it to be the word of God about his plan for his creation. I never saw “Old Testament Ethics” as being separate from “New Testament Ethics” but rather New Testament Ethics just been a natural progression of God’s original plan. I see that plan as a progression where new concepts are built on top of newly learnt concepts. For example Paul says in Hebrews “(7) What shall we say then? Is the Law sin? May it never be! On the contrary, I would not have come to know sin except through the Law; for I would not have known about coveting if the Law had not said, ‘You shall not covet.’ (8) But sin, taking opportunity through the commandment, produced in me coveting of every kind; for apart from the Law sin is dead.” (Romans 7:7-8). NASV. So to me it was necessary for man to understand the concept of law (Old Teastement) before understanding the concept of Grace (New Teastament) Thanks for the series.

In my first semester. It’s hard, but it’s good. A wise friend told me coming in “Just love the work,” and that’s kind of my driving force right now – immersing myself in the work and loving it.

It gets easier. One of the things about Seminary is it teaches you how to do research better. Not just in terms of equipping you with tools and methods, but also in the practice of how to quickly extrapolate necessary information and move on. If you ever want any thoughts on how to do well without spending 20 hours per week per class, so me a line. I’d be happy to help support you in any way I can.

The title of your blog caught my eye, and I totally identify with being both a Christ-Follower and a Coffee Addict. I guess you could say I’m also a Critic in that I don’t like what our culture is teaching us about romantic relationships. I’m on a mission to get the Truth of Ephesians 5:21-33 into the hearts and minds of men and women everywhere.

I look forward to reading your blog on a regular basis … and praying for your work.

I’ve been following you too and learning a great deal from you. My book, “Examine Your Faith! Finding Truth in a World of Lies” is due out in a couple months. It examines truth as relative or absolute, religious pluralism, the basic tenets of the 5 major religions and New Age and the uniqueness of the Bible in contrast to all other documents of religious authority. Not many female apologists so I hope to carve out a niche as a very personable, compassionate (as opposed to acedemic) apologist. If you’re up for a review copy I’ll send you one. I’m grateful to say I already have Josh McDowell’s endorsement.
