Guest Publishing

wpid-Photo-Mar-30-2012-204-AM.jpg

As with any ministry, when a solitary voice is the only one you hear, the message itself can become stale. In addition, publishing guest blogs offers the unique opportunity to partner with upcoming writers and spiritual leaders, giving exposure to those who bring the healing power of Jesus through their words. To this end, I am excited to extend the opportunity to write a guest article to be featured here on this blog. Articles considered must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Must remain consistent with a Judeo-Christian worldview and reflect orthodox Christian theology.
  • Must fall between 500-1000 words in length.
  • Must be classified within one of the following categories: Biblical Exegesis (this would be a more scholarly Biblical analysis), Devotional (this would be a more reflective Biblical analysis with an explicit connection to daily living), Spiritual Formation, Social Justice, or Christian Theology. If you have an idea which does not fall within one of these categories, email me the idea (see below) and we may discuss it.
  • Must be relatively free of typos and ready for publication.
  • Must be a unique publication. In other words, the article should not be published anywhere else. This allows me to provide quality unique content to my readership, and it allows you to tailor your article for this audience. As a guest article is designed to help other bloggers gain exposure, this arrangement is a win-win for us both.
  • Please include a brief bio, as well as the address for your own blog site so that the article may be linked back to you.

If you have an article idea you would like to see published on the Of Dust and Kings blog, please email me at:

    T.E. Hanna –

Thank you for checking out my blog which then led me to check out your blog!
I would love to be a guest author using one of my articles. However, do my articles qualify for this type of blog?

The one I have in mind is
    http://advocateofhope.wordpress.com/2012/03/14/does-god-really-care-about-me/
Maybe this could be considered devotional?

Look forward to hearing from you -

I think you have a compelling story, Cyndi, particularly in regards to how the battle with cancer has taught you and connected you more deeply with God. While I do occasionally reblog articles on here, guest published articles are generally original blog posts which do not appear elsewhere. That is pretty standard among guest publications in the blogosphere.

What that does for you is allow you to tailor your piece to the audience of the blog which is carrying it (this blog, for instance), which in turn allows you to present your material in a way which better connects with the readership so that (hopefully) the exposure draws people to your own blog. What this does for the blog which publishes your article is allow them to maintain a focused application to their targeted audience, and also to avoid the perspective that they may be “scraping” pre-published material from other blogs.

Typically, I will preface the guest publication with a brief introduction about who you are and what your blog is, including links back to your blog. I will also include a closing line at the end of the article which says something to the effect of “Like this article? Visit (-insert blog name here-) for more of (-blog author-)’s great content!”

If you are still interested in writing a piece to be featured here, I would love to chat with you more about it. Send me an email at the address listed above and we will settle on a topic and go from there.

      Hope that helps!

Mr. Hannah, I would feel honored if any blogs on my site were used as a Guest Publishing on your page. My ultimate goal in my writing is to spread the Word and tell about the Good News of Salvation to everyone who will receive it. I often write about daily events, even the mundane chores we do, that bring Scriptures to mind for me. I try to make a correlation that shows our Lord and Savior is to be in our hearts and on our minds when we arise, when we go about our daily tasks, and when we lay down. Take a tour of my current blogs and let me know if any of them could be used for such a purpose on your Guest Publishing venue.
Prayers for you and your continue ministry!
    Gwen

Thank you for visiting my blog. I enjoyed reading some of your articles. I think it’s wonderful that you open up your site to allow others to contribute. I may email you in the future with possible articles for publication… I love to write and I enjoy using it as a ministry, however right now we are busy preparing to leave the mission field and return to the States after eight years. I’m writing for 2 blogs and also a marriage ministry website. I hope to be able to contribute here in the future as well. God bless.

    Hi T.E.

First of all thank you for checking out my blog, you are very welcome and thank you for becoming a member as well. This led me to check out your blog too!

I read about you (loved the fact you are keen in Brazilian sport as I am Brazilian myself), and scanned some of your articles. I think it’s wonderful that you open up your site to allow others to contribute and I have my blog opened to guest writers too. I would like to invite you to be a guest writer on mine.

I have recently posted 2 articles categorized as “testimony” which I would like you to read and if it would interest you I would like to offer to your blog. Let me know what you think. The titles are “A love letter” and “All about my grandmother”

God bless and keep inspiring us.

Mortal man will never figure out “why” bad things happen to good people, but we do know it rains on the just and the unjust. Bad people also have good things happen in this life, but not in the life to come. Good people go through sorrows and death, but will reap their rewards and eternal life. The trials of this life are not worthy to be compared with His glory to be revealed hereafter.

One day it will all be over, and only what we have done for God will matter. We must live each day as if it were our last. Why? Because it could be, and only those who will “love his appear” will He appear to the second time, unto salvation. Only those who endure in the faith are promised life everlasting. Nothing else will matter in that day. Until then, we must trust our Holy God, and know that heaven will surely be worth it all.
